第14回ワルシャワファイブフレーバー映画祭

With the financial support of Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) and the Hong Kong Film Development Fund (HKFDF), the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFA Academy) co-presented a film roadshow programme titled Asian Cinerama with the Five Flavours Asian Film Festival (FFAFF) in Warsaw, Poland from 25 November to 6 December 2020. FFAFF is one of the most established and second largest film festival in Poland and the only film festival in Poland to present Asian cinema.

 

Year 2020 marked their 14th edition in which FFAFF took place in a hybrid form in Warsaw’s cinemas and on a special internet platform. The 14th edition has shown 52 films from 14 countries/regions, included 43 feature films, 1 documentary and 8 VR experiences. Total number of screenings at 14th FFAFF was 41,120 views. Asian Cinerama program was screened online and reached 5,711 views with total 6 films.

The director of the Warsaw Five Flavours Asian Film Festival gave a introduction to some of the films, allowing local audiences to better understand the background and messages of these films:

香港 Both opening and closing films of Asian Cinerama, Hokusai and Waiting for My Cup of Tea, made their Hong Kong premiere at the programme.
ワルシャワ The best film of the 15th Asian Film Awards "Wife of a Spy" had its grand premiere in Warsaw, and director Kiyoshi Kurosawa also participated in the online sharing session.
トロント For the first time, Asian Cinerama was held in Toronto, allowing local audiences to watch different styles of Asian films.
ハワイ州 Over thousand audiences watched different Asian films through Asian Cinerama in Hawaii.
