Karena Lam is an acclaimed actress and is considered one of the most versatile artists in Hong Kong. With her feature debut in July Rhapsody (2002), she won Best Supporting Actress and Best New Performer awards at the Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA) and the Golden Horse Awards. She has then taken on leading roles in films such as Inner Senses (2002), The Floating Landscape (2003), Koma (2004), Home Sweet Home (2005), Claustrophobia (2008) and Heaven in the Dark (2015), earning her six nominations for the HKFA for Best Actress. In 2015, she was named the Best Leading Actress by the Golden Horse Awards for her role in Zinnia Flower (2015), making her the first artist ever to have won all of the three acting awards at Golden Horse. She has been jury member for the Hong Kong International Film Festival, ifva (Incubator for Film & Visual Media in Asia) Awards, Shanghai International Film Festival, Taipei Film Festival and Tokyo International Film Festival.
