Asian Film Awards Academy Masterclass Series: Face-to-Face with Fruit Chan at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival
12 October 2018 (Friday) HONG KONG: The Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) will present the “Face-to-Face” masterclass with veteran Hong Kong director and producer Fruit CHAN-Kuo at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF31). Financially supported by Create Hong Kong and Hong Kong Film Development Fund.
The Asian Film Awards Academy (AFA Academy)’s Young Film Professionals Overseas Training Program (YFPOTP), continues its objective to nurture young film talents in Hong Kong by providing overseas training opportunities. With the support of Create Hong Kong and the Film Development Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government and in partnership with Trixter, the Goethe-Institut Hongkong, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Nipkow Programm, there will be three funded three-month work placements opened for application at The Post Republic's Film VFX, Sound and DI/Color Grading Departments respectively in Berlin, Germany. The AFA Academy will provide funding as specified in the application guidelines. Hong Kong Permanent Residents who can communicate fluently in English with more than two years but no longer than ten years of professional full-time post-production experience in relevant fields in film post-production are welcomed to apply.
BAFTA and Asian Film Awards Academy to Host Masterclass with Chinese Action Choreographer & Director Tony CHING
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) will host a masterclass with acclaimed Chinese action choreographer and director Tony Ching (aka Ching Siu-Tung) on Tuesday 18 September at its headquarters, 195 Piccadilly in London. The event is in partnership with Asian Film Awards Academy (AFA Academy), financially supported by Create Hong Kong and Hong Kong Film Development Fund.
