VFX Work Placements with German Studio Trixter
Location: Berlin, Germany
Placement Period: October to December, 2018

As part of the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFA Academy)’s Young Film Professionals Overseas Training Program (YFPOTP), with the support of Create Hong Kong and the Film Development Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government and in partnership with Trixter, the Goethe-Institut Hongkong, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Nipkow Programm, there will be funded two-month work placements opened for application at Trixter’s Film VFX Department in Berlin, Germany. The AFA Academy will provide funding as specified in the application guidelines. Hong Kong Permanent Residents who can communicate fluently in English with more than two years but no longer than ten years of professional full-time post-production experience in film visual effects field are welcomed to apply.
The AFA Academy’s Young Film Professionals Overseas Training Program offers overseas training opportunities in mature film industries to enable promising early career professionals in film to develop their skills, international outlook, professional relationships and knowledge so as to move on to the next stage of their career. The successful applicant(s) will be sent on an overseas training visit to learn working methods, structures, technologies, and peer networking in the young professional’s discipline. The Program also serves to develop the relationship between Asian film professionals with those that are outside the region.
