Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) is founded in 2013 with three main Asian film festivals – Busan, Hong Kong and Tokyo.  AFAA highlights, strengthens and develops Asian film industry and culture through the annual Asian Film Awards, and several year-round initiatives including strategies for building regional and international audiences.  The 13th Asian Film Awards (AFA13) will be held on 17 March 2019 (Saturday).

We are looking for aspiring individual to join our team for AFA13 ceremony

Events Coordinator (3 months):

•   To liaise and coordinate among production house, event venue, broadcaster, PR agency and various AFA internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth execution of the event

•   To prepare necessary paperwork and file license applications with relevant governmental departments and event venue, and to ensure all required licenses and permits are granted before the event

•   To coordinate events operations including:

•   venue logistics coordination (cleanliness, F&B stocks, backdrop delivery schedule…)

•   rehearsals schedule

•   artists and performers handling and stage management

•   VIP and general guests’ routing

•   crowd control

•   security plans

•   To liaise with relevant parties such as film companies, production houses, event venue, performers and caterers on event related matters

•   To proofread MC scripts and prepare cue cards accordingly for the ceremony

•   To apply censor cards for the promo videos and conduct on site test

•   To prepare event reports

•   To perform ad hoc duties as assigned


  • University graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent problems solving and prioritizing skills
  • Detailed oriented and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good sense in figures with prior experience in cost control is a plus
  • Knowledge in stage production including AV, lighting and set constructions; and familiar with red carpet arrangement
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of design software is a plus
  • Required to work overtime and irregular hours including weekends when needed
