I quoted Shakespeare’s line “The night is long that never finds the day” in my message to the AFA last year. Unfortunately, we are still in the “night” and suffering from the challenges of this pandemic.

However, I believe that the power of film is tremendous, and it will give us the courage to overcome such difficulties and seek a bright future.

I offer heartfelt gratitude to the many people who have contributed to the success of the AFA this year, fighting against COVID-19 through film.

I believe the AFA will continue to play an important role as the symbol of solidarity and cooperation in the Asian Film industry.
