LIU Taifeng is an accomplished Chinese director, screenwriter, and cinematographer known for his profound social insight and mature command of cinematic language. He began his filmmaking journey at the Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, where he studied Production Design. Eager to expand his craft, he relocated to the United States to study film production at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and ultimately earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from American Film Institute (AFI). In 2023, LIU wrote and directed his feature debut, Another Day of Hope, which garnered widespread acclaim for its restrained yet deeply humanistic visual style. The feature received widespread recognition in China and internationally, winning Best Film in the Low and Medium Budget Category at the 37th China Golden Rooster Awards, as well as awards at film festivals in Buenos Aires, Barcelona and Russia.
