The Revelation of Official Key Visual for the 18th Asian Film Awards

Featuring the theme ‘Empowering Ideas Together’. This theme highlights the unity and collaborative spirit of Asian filmmakers, as they come together to shape a dynamic and thriving future for the film industry.

The key visual draws inspiration from the image of mountains, a powerful symbol representing the perseverance and ambition of filmmakers. The angular lines of the mountain echo the refined edges of the AFA trophy, reflecting the unwavering determination of filmmakers as they strive to reach greater heights. Even after scaling the summit, they continue to push boundaries and pursue new horizons. Flowing coloured lines run through the mountain, representing the vibrant pulse to bringing life and energy to the design. These lines symbolise the creativity and innovation of emerging Asian filmmakers, whose talent and passion breathe new vitality into the industry, driving it toward a flourishing future.

Sunny Wong, founder and director of STUDIOWMW, shared, “I am delighted to be the creative director for the key visual of the 18th Asian Film Awards. The colourful interplay within the mountain reflects the diversity of films and creators across Asia. It celebrates how filmmakers from different regions and backgrounds come together on the AFA stage, blending their unique artistry to form an extraordinary cinematic landscape. This artistic peak, born from collaboration and unity, encapsulates this year’s theme: to ascend to new heights, unlocking broader perspectives and inventive ideas.”
