YAU Nai Hoi

Hong Kong screenwriter, director and producer. He is best known as a frequent screenwriter for films produced by Milkyway Image especially for his notable collaboration with Johnnie To and Wai Ka-Fai. His was awarded twice with Best Screenplay at the Hong Kong Film Awards with Running on Karma (2003) and Election (2005). His screenplays PTU (2003), Thrown Down (2004) and Election (2005) won Best Original Screenplay at The Golden Horse Film Awards. His directorial debut Eye in the Sky (2007) won Best New Director and was nominated for Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards. Co-produced work Trivisa (2016) won Best Film at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award and Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild Awards, alongside other numerous awards.
