Former Acting Dean of the School of Film and Television Faculty at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, DING Yuin Shan graduated from the University of Rochester with a double degree in History and Film Studies. He also received an MA in Cinema Studies from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He has been working in the Hong Kong film industry since 1999, overseeing the development, production and promotion of more than 20 feature films, including Election 1 & 2 (2005), directed by Johnnie TO, and Eye in the Sky (2007), directed by YAU Nai Hoi. In recent years, DING has focused on film production through collaborations with the new generation of local filmmakers. His credits include Motorway (2011) directed by Soi CHEANG and Sisterhood (2016) directed by Tracy CHOI. The latter received two awards at International Film Festival & Awards – Macau and two nominations at Hong Kong Film Awards in 2017.
