Thomas Jongsuk NAM majored in RTVF/Communication Arts at the University of Maryland, College Park, US. He began his film career as an assistant director on Jungle Story (1996) and joined the Busan International Film Festival in 1997, where he worked in various positions, including senior coordinator of the Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP). After serving as general secretary of the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC), he joined the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) in 2007 and currently serves as a festival programmer at BIFAN and Managing Director of the Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF). He is also a selection committee member for Sitges FanPitch, Udine Focus Asia, Ventana Sur Blood Window and the Asian Film Awards, and has served as curator of “After Dark” at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.
