To promote Asian cinema and expand its audience worldwide, the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFA Academy) presented a film roadshow programme titled Asian Cinerama at the 6th Cambodia International Film Festival (CIFF) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In recent years, Cambodia sees a returning of its glorious days of filmmaking. With an honorary committee headed by Angelina Jolie and other heavyweights in Cambodian filmmaking, the CIFF is the most important international film festivals for local and overseas audiences and film industry professionals to build collaborative opportunities and gain exposure to inspire creativity.

We screened three Hong Kong films (Echoes of the Rainbow, The Beast Stalker and Dragon) and four other Asian films (The Lunchbox, Ilo Ilo, Cart and Bwakaw). All films are the first time showed in Cambodia.  We also arranged a panel discussion name “Asian Cinema’s Promoting Strategies for Regional and International Distribution” in this film festival.  The discussion process was very lively!
