Asian Film Awards Academy: Tony LEUNG Masterclass at the Tokyo International Film Festival

The highly anticipated Masterclass Series, organised by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) and financially supported by CreateHK and the Film Development Fund, has made a triumphant comeback. After a five-year hiatus, AFAA is once again collaborating with the Tokyo International Film Festival to co-organise the Masterclass. This year’s edition will feature the iconic Hong Kong actor Tony LEUNG Chiu Wai, who has recently received the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Film Festival and the esteemed Outstanding Contribution to Asian Film Award at the 16th Asian Film Awards. Leung will graciously share insights from his illustrious acting career during this exclusive event.

 

The highly anticipated master class is scheduled to take place on 26th October 2023, at the HULIC HALL Tokyo. Coinciding with the event, the Film Festival will also screen the timeless masterpiece 2046, directed by WONG Kar-Wai, providing Japanese film enthusiasts with an opportunity to relish Leung’s exceptional acting skills once again.
