Compared to films from China, Singapore and Taiwan, Hong Kong movies have long-standing significance with its brand of crime and martial arts action. The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation held in Malaysia would be a good opportunity to nurture our younger generation’s interest and appreciation towards Hong Kong movies.”

Lee Sheung-yuen, Director-General of HKETO Jakarta appreciated all the organizers for their support, especially the three Hong Kong filmmakers who came to participate in the event. “They continue to innovate, create and produce new films, and also participate in this event to meet our audiences to facilitate cultural exchanges between film enthusiasts from different countries.”
