The Asian Film Awards Academy has been hosting its Masterclass Series for over a decade, with partners spanning the globe, including the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Tokyo International Film Festival, and Hawai’i International Film Festival. Audiences can learn about the behind-the-scene anecdotes of different films and the filmmakers’ journey to success in the comprehensive discussion in Masterclass Series., offering a broader perspective on film and the innovative thinking of successful individuals, thus inspiring them.

 

In the past, we have been honored to invite many renowned figures in the industry as guests, including award-winning actors Tony Leung and Sammo Hung, martial arts actress Cheng Pei Pei, and Zhang Ziyi; renowned Asian directors Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Hwang Dong-hyuk, and Jia Zhangke; Hong Kong directors Johnnie To, John Woo, Stanley Kwan, Mabel Cheung, and Fruit Chan; action choreographer and director Ching Siu Tung; and renowned sound designer Tu Duu-chih.
