Asian Film Awards Academy Launch the 2023 Calendar Poster Set for the First Time

The designer said: "I hope this poster can show people more possibilities in art creation”

To welcome the New Year, Asian Film Awards Academy has invited our intern, Alex Szeto to launch the 2023 Calendar Poster Set.
The poster design inspired by retro Collage Art, the designer blended the interplay of Hong Kong’s unique urban landscape and Devil’s Peak scenery as the background, while incorporating elements of film art to extend the imagination and reflect inspiration.
While Collage is to glue separated visual pieces ensemble, montage can be interpreted as a video-editing Collage technique with the dimension of time. World-famous film theorist Bela Balazz once stated: “Montage can be compared to an engineer combining some fragmentary parts.”

The calendar with two colour schemes under the same composition draws a vintage yet vibrant impression, enriching the profound implication and emotion contained therein. This exquisite gift showcases the Asian Film Awards Academy’s best wishes for an inspiring and fulfilling new year, to everyone who contributed to the prosperity of the film industry, and to everyone that has been continuously supporting us.
