Asian Film Awards Academy organize our first Film Craft Workshops, aiming to invite film industry professionals to share their experiences and knowledge in specialized areas of film production with film students and young professionals. Providing a chance for them to discuss with film industry professionals on their respective field.

 

AFAA is in collaborate with Goethe-Institut Hongkong for organizing this workshop. We are happy to have German Cinematographer Hans Fromm to be our guest and host two sessions of AFA Academy Film Craft Workshops, and we will also hold a screening of his work, Phoenix (2014). The workshop is based on Transit, discussing special aesthetics of the “Berlin School”.

Hans Fromm’s works include “Phoenix” (2014), “Barbara” (2012), “Yella” (2007) and so on. He was nominated for the Best Cinematography Award twice at the German Film Awards.

Public Session was held at the Emperor Cinemas, hosted by the famous Hong Kong film critic Patrick Suen, and invited the director of “Trivisa”, Vicky Wong who won the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Director.  Together with Hans Fromm Talk about film aesthetics and share their unique experiences.
