The grand event of the Asian film industry, the 17th Asian Film Awards, is set to take place on March 10. Attended by top talents from numerous Asian countries, this annual event is a significant occasion in the industry. Each year, the Academy appoints rising stars as Youth Ambassadors. This year, four new-generation actors from different regions will represent the Asian Film Awards. These include the versatile Taiwanese actor LIU Kuan-Ting, popular Thai actor Mario MAURER, Japanese actor MIYAZAWA who transitioned from being a model, and Will OR, a new-generation actor from Hong Kong who has received ample attention.


The four uniquely charming actors will gather at the Hong Kong wwwtc mall on March 9, the eve of the awards ceremony, to interact with fans and share their acting aspirations. There will also be opportunities for fans to play games and receive Asian Film Awards souvenirs! Don’t miss this rare event—see you at wwwtc mall in Causeway Bay!

Asian Film Awards Academy

The Asian Films Awards Academy, a non-profit organization, was founded by Busan, Hong Kong and Tokyo International Film Festivals with the shared goal of celebrating excellence in Asian cinema. Aiming to promote and recognize Asian films and its talents, AFAA highlights, strengthens and develops Asian film industry through the annual Asian Film Awards and several year-round initiatives.


The Asian Film Awards was inaugurated in 2007, where members of AFAA are drawn from its past nominees and winners. The category of awards includes Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress. Members vote for the Asian Film Awards and participate in various AFAA activities involving film professionals and audiences in Asia and around the world.
